Evelyn Chapel Wedding Photographer | Christy & Roy 12.19.08

This was our last wedding of a wonderful season of weddings in 2008. We are already looking forward to and planing for some more fantastic weddings with our clients in 2009. As the season passes I hope to be able to post some of the highlights from time to time.

For many photographers who reside in the Midwest and upper Midwest we are often concerned about the challenges that winter weather can bring when trying to cover an event in the winter months. Will we have to deal with ice, snow or freezing cold temps? In the case of Christy and Roy we had a major ice storm followed by snow just a couple days before their wedding. This created a winter wonderland that served as a backdrop for some of their wedding photos. When it came time to start their photos the wind outside had completely stopped, temps were in the upper 20s, providing for an erie stillness outside. Christy, Roy and the wedding party were all game for dashing outside for a few quick snaps. We crossed the street to the parklike quad of the campus of IWU. Below are a few of the highlights from their beautiful wedding.

They married at Evelyn Chapel on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University and then celebrated at the new Parke Hotel
