Our plan over the winter was to do Keri and Andrew’s engagement session in the snow. With our winter being so warm this year we had pretty much given up on that idea. In fact, we went ahead and scheduled it with the idea that we would not have any. Low and behold, the night before their session we got just enough to cover the ground and provide for a lovely background of powered snow. It was perfect! You know, you have to be a trooper to want photos this time of the year and I have to hand to these guys, they were and they and their photos look great! Nicely done guys!

They are planning a fall wedding 2012 with their reception at the lovely Uptwon Normal Marriott. We can’t wait!

Just before the holidays we received a gorgeous wedding album for our clients Leslie and Chris and we wanted to share a few quick shots of it with everyone. The cover of their album is an aluminum photo cover and then they selected a black sculpted leather for the spine and back cover. It looks gorgeous! Nice job on the choices guys!

Looks like Kim and David’s engagement session is going to be the last one of 2011. What a gorgeous late fall day to end the season on! We decided to use the outside location at Funk’s Grove, an easy location to get a natural background without having to hike long distances to find a wooded area. You can hardly go wrong there. They have planned a mid July wedding next year with their reception at Crestwicke Country Club which is a great location for an evening summer reception. I don’t think they will be disappointed. Their session went well and we tried to break them in easy and get them used to our nuttiness so that they don’t have any surprises on the wedding day. Nice job guys, we are looking forward to having some fun with you and your families on your wedding day.

A chilly late fall day served as the background for Emily and Kevin’s engagement session in downtown Champaign a couple weeks ago. With just a hint of fall colors still on the trees and soft light to work with we ended up with some great photos of this gorgeous couple! We started off our session with a little urban setting and then moved  to Meadowbrook Park to finish off the day as the light slipped away. It’s funny how quickly the light disappears on a November day compared to how it seemingly lingers forever during the summer.

They have planned a June 2012 outside wedding at the Japanese Gardens in Urbana. This should be a great location and we can not wait to photograph it! Emily is going to be such a gorgeous bride! Great job guys you wedding is going to be a blast.
