Jess and I were excited to be the wedding photographers for Megan and Andrew’s wedding on July 7th. They got married at Second Presbyterian church in downtown Bloomington. What can we say about their day? Megan was one very excited and happy bride to say the least, lets just say that smiles were aplenty on July the 7th! There were also a few tears of happiness throughout the day. Megan and her father are obviously very close. Megan and Andrew elected to see each other before the ceremony making it possible get most of their photos with their families members done early in the day. As always the Bloomington Country Club made for a gorgeous location for photos. Carl from the BCC was, as usual, extremely attentive to everyone’s needs, making sure that we all had plenty of water on a day when we saw temps hitting 104˚.  From there it was on to the church for a beautiful ceremony and finishing up the evening at The Chateau for dinner and dancing.

Erin and Ryan chose to have both their ceremony and reception at the same location. In their case they chose The Chateau.Having both parts of your wedding event at the same location really simplifies things. Especially for guests coming from out of town. The Chateau provides a wonderful background for both inside and outside wedding photography. The architectural details and little vignettes work really well for portraits. So in spite of the August heat we ventured outside for most of their photos. Erin and Ryan were great to work with and a gorgeous couple to photograph. How ’bout that ring bearer? Too cute! I especially loved Ryan’s tux, it reminded me of some of the casual beach wedding attire that I have seen at other weddings. After the ceremony while hors d’oeuvres were be served we stole our happy couple for a few photos at a nearby park. Anyway, everything was well planned and the day went smoothly. Great job by Erin!
